Bandai Namco Entertainment has announced a closed network test for Tekken 8, starting on July 21st for Xbox Series X/S, PS5, and PC. It contains 16 playable characters and five stages, with registrations live until June 28th, 10 AM CEST. Check out the trailer below.

The closed network test will be available first on PS5, from July 21st, 10 AM CEST, till July 24th, 9 AM CEST (with a three-hour maintenance window in between). From July 28th, 10 AM CEST, till July 31st, 9 AM CEST, participants on all platforms can access the network test. Three-hour maintenance is scheduled from 10 AM to 1 PM CEST on July 29th.

The test’s purpose is to “evaluate the network’s quality as well as offering a high-end game experience with our new battle system and tactics; aerial combos; new gen graphics; and destructive and interactive stages to players.” It’s a first come, first served rule, so the sooner interested players register, the better.

Tekken 8 doesn’t have a release date yet, but Bandai Namco aims to release it before April 2024. Stay tuned for more details and gameplay in the coming months.
