Final Fantasy 16

Square Enix generally tends to release demos for its games shortly before they release, and unsurprisingly, the same will be true for Final Fantasy 16 as well. Last year, the Japanese company confirmed that a demo would be released for the RPG shortly before its launch, and now, producer Naoki Yoshida has offered more details on when it will arrive and what it will entail.

Speaking in an interview with Famitsu, Yoshida confirmed that Final Fantasy 16’s demo will release about two weeks before the game’s launch, which should mean sometime in mid-June. It will let players experience the beginning of the story – though exactly how long it will be obviously hasn’t been revealed just yet – and best of all, it will allow you to carry over your data into the full game and continue playing from wherever it is the demo ends.

Several more details for Final Fantasy 16 have also been revealed thanks to its recent round of hands-on previews. The RPG will have over 11 hours of cinematics and will also feature a New Game Plus mode, though there will be no difficulty options. Multiple graphics modes will also be available for 4K and 60 FPS options.

Final Fantasy 16 is due out for the PS5 on June 22. A PC version is also on the cards, but there’s no word on when exactly it might launch.
